Leaves and Flowers and Beads

I've been working away on the back side of the laying tool case from Kimberly.  The leaves and flowers stems are done and I've started adding beads, using pale pink, peach, gold and antique gold colors of beads.  In the photo above I have started beading the top border and the corners.  The border has the same pale pink beads I used above the pink stems but they show up better as buds because I used a darker thread to attach them there than I used in the border.  You'll find that pale beads that have no silver lining around their hole will show the color of the thread you use.  SharonG says you can achieve great color changes this way.

I also reread my directions for about the tenth time and discovered I'd forgotten to add metallic lines in the middle of the arch stitches in the border.  It's amazing what details you can miss on a complex piece like this, no matter how many times you read the instructions and study the diagrams!
